I've worked in dozens of countries across six continents, covering news and long-term stories, often at great personal risk, in order to bring attention to world events and important social issues. My photographic reporting has appeared in notable outlets including CNN, National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Time, Smithsonian, GEO, The Guardian, Stern Magazine, and Terra Mater. Attending the Eddie Adams Workshop was a mile marker for me, and the following year I was nominated for the World Press Photo / Joop Swart Masterclass. Since then, professional organizations have recognized my work with awards, such as The Overseas Press Club, Pictures of the Year (POYi), The Society of Publication Designers (SPD), National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), Communication Arts, American Photography, Px3, among others. Along the way, I was a juror for the Nikon photo contest and the Harry Chapin Media Awards and worked as an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and at the International Center of Photography.
